Gaining as much beneficial knowledge as I can in this dunya about this beautiful deen of Islam. Not just being careful from whom I take knowledge from, but careful of implementing knowledge that comes to me without proofs, so if you have some naseehah, apply proofs InshaAllaah, other than that....I'm a good listener. I crochet and I try to stay in the home as much as possible. Our blessings are in the home sisters (smiles), I have to remind myself of this as well. May Allaah reward us all in our efforts to please Him, Aameen.

I do not watch TV/Movies or listen to music but don't mind sharing my views on them.

"It is not allowed to take pictures of beings that have souls, a rule the compasses cameras and other instruments, with the exception of pictures that are necessary, such as a passport or identity photo."

- from fatawa islamiyah...and as far as music, from the same trusted source;

"It is not allowed to listen to singing and playing musical instruments, since it diverts the listener from the remembrance of Allaah and from prayer, and because hearing it sickens and hardens the heart. Both the Clear Book of Allaah and the Trustworthy Sunnah His Messenger (SalAllaahu alaihe wa sallam) prove its prohibition. Allaah Almighty says in Surah Luqman ayah 6:

"And of Mankind is he who purchases (Lawd Al-Hadith) idle talk to mislead from the Path of Allaah without knowledge."

The majority of scholars of Tafsir as well as others have explained that Lawd Al- Hadith refers to singing and musical instruments. In his Sahih, Al- Bukhari recorded that the Prophet (SalAllaahu alaihe wa sallam) said: "There will be from my Nation a people who will deem fornication, silk (for men), alcohol, and music to be permissible". [Al-Bukhari no. 5590] We ask Allaah to guide and facilitate all of the Muslims to what is right and to protect us from the causes which anger Him." Aameen.

-Proof taken from Fatawa Islamiyah- Ibn Baz

[My Words].."Some may still argue the fact of "naats" or "nasheeds" to be acceptable, or why can't they be if they speak of nothing but good of the religion, which sounds good but we have to worship Allaah as He has legislated for us to, not to add on or take away even if the adding on appears to be an elevation of worship which is actually an innovation and for every innovation is a going astray and the end result of going astray leads to the hellfire, so just because something sounds good to do regarding the deen doesn't mean that it is good without proving it to be a way that Allaah has legislated for us to worship Him, with AUTHENTIC proofs (Quran and Sunnah) and all of that being borderline and finding loopholes(you think you found) only leaves doubt in your heart and doubt comes from the shaitan who is the greatest enemy to mankind and he sits and waits at every point of our lives for the opportunity to lead us astray. HE IS YOUR ENEMY! Don't help your enemy defeat you by following him! So please be careful of what you do here in this life while passing through to our final abode because in the end all the songs you know, sport stats, movie titles and producers and nonsense; any of these worldly waste of times are not going to save you from the fire because at that time, you are only left with your deeds. So be VERY careful what you do here InshaAllaah.None of us are an exception to falling into these things, May Allaah protect us from falling into these things or anything that displeases Him And May Allaah place and/or keep us on a path that will lead us to Jennah, Aameen."

Allaah, The Exalted, states:

"And I (Allaah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)." (Noble Quran 51:56)

All of that being said, I plan on worshipping Allaah Alone and learning this Deen for the rest of my time passing through this dunya and my advice to you is to help and strive with me InshaAllaah.

May Allaah bless us all with beneficial knowledge, Aameen.

"..I will narrate to you a Hadeeth I heard..."

Narrated Anas (RadiAllaahu anhu): I will narrate to you a Hadeeth I heard from Allaah's Messenger (SalAllaahu alaihe wa sallam) and none other than I will tell you of it. I heard Allaah's Messenger (SalAllaahu alaihe wa sallam) saying, "From among the portents of the Hour are the following:
1.Religious knowledge will be taken away
2. General ignorance (in religious matters) will increase
3. Illegal sexual intercourse will prevail
4. Drinking alcoholic drinks will be in plenty
5. Men will decrease in number, so much so that fifty women will be looked after by one man."

The Hadeeth of the Grave

The Hadeeth of the Grave

Checking by Shaykh Hamdee ’Abdul-Majeed as-Salafee
[Shaykh Hamdee is One of the older students of Shaykh Muhammad Naasirud-Deen al-Albaanee]
Translated by Maaz Qureshi [1]

Muhammad Ibnun-Nadr informed us saying: Mu’aawiyah Ibn ’Amr said: Zaa‘idah informed us saying: Sulaymaan al-A’mash informed me: al-Minhaal Ibn ’Amr informed me saying: Zaadaan informed us saying: al-Baraa‘ informed me saying:
We went out with the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) in the Funeral Prayer for a man from the Ansaar (helpers).  So we stopped at the grave, and the niche at the side of it had not been dug out yet.  So the Messenger of Allaah raised his head to the sky, and then he looked down to the ground and conversed to himself.  He said: Then he said: “Seek refuge with Allaah from the Punishment of the Grave,” a few times.
Then he said:
“Verily when the Muslim man has yet to reach the Hereafter, but he has already been cut off from this world, Angels from the sky descend upon him having faces like the sun.  So they sit as far as him as the eye can see, with them are the burial shrouds from the burial shrouds of Paradise, and embalming perfume from the embalming perfumes of Paradise.  So then the Angel of Death comes and sits at his head, so he says: “Come out, O good soul to the forgiveness of Allaah and His pleasure.” He said: “So it flows out as a drop flows out [from] a water-skin.  So when he takes it, he does not leave it in his hand for the blinking of an eye.” He said: “And there comes out from him a smell like the best musk to be found upon the face of the earth.  So they ascend with him, and they do not pass by any of the angels except that he says: Who is this good soul?  So they say: This is so and so.  So the doors of heavens are open for him, and they follow him through every level of heaven, until they reach the end of the seventh heaven. It is then said: “Write his book in highness (’illiyyeen).”  He said: So it is written.  He said: Then it is said: “Return to the earth, because it is from there that We created you. and it is to there that we return you, and it is from there that We raise you up again.”  So it is returned to his body, then the Angels come to him, then they say to him: Sit.  Who is your Lord?  So he says: My Lord is Allaah.  He said: They say: What is your Religion?  He said: He says: My Religion is Islaam.  So they say: Who is this man who was sent amongst you?  He says: He is the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam).  So they say: How did you come to know of him?  So he says: I read the Book of Allaah, and I believed in it, and I attested to it.  So it will be called out from the heavens: “Indeed he has spoken the truth, so make space for him in Paradise, and clothe him with the clothes of Paradise, and show him his place in Paradise.”  He said: So he will be allowed to see it and his grave will be made spacious for him as far as the eye can see.  A man with beautiful clothes, a handsome face, and a good smell will be presented to him; he will say: “Receive the glad tidings that will please you upon this day that you were promised.  So [he] will say: May Allaah have mercy upon you, who are you; because your face seems to represent goodness?  He said: So he says: I am your righteous deeds.”
He said: “However, if he was a disbeliever, Angels with black faces will descend upon him, and with them are coarse woolen cloths.  So they sit as far from him as the eye can see.”  He said: “And the Angel of death comes and sits at his head, so he says: Come out O foul soul to the Anger of Allaah and His displeasure.  He said: So he does not like to be taken out of his body.  He said: So he takes it out, he does not leave it in his hand for the blinking of an eye.  So the Angels take it in the burial shrouds of coarse woolen cloth.  He said: And there emanates from him the most offensive smelling stench like the foulest smelling corpse upon the face of the earth.  So they ascend with him, so they do not pass by any one of the Angels, except that he says: Who is this foul soul?  He says: “So and so,” using the most evil of names.  So when they reach the heaven, they open the door, but it closes upon him, and it is called out: “Return to the earth, since I created you from it, and to it I return you, and from it I shall raise you again.”  So he is placed back in his body, so the Angels come to him and they say: Sit.  So they say: Who is your Lord?  He said: He says: Haah, [haah], I do not know.  So they say: What is your Religion?  So he says: Haah, haah, I do not know.  I heard the people speaking.  He said: So they say: Who is this man who was sent amongst you?  He said: So it is called out from the sky: “Verily he has lied, so make space for him in the Fire, and clothe him with the clothes of the Fire.  And he will be shown his place in the Fire.  He said: So he will see his place in the Fire, and he will be overtaken by its heat and its scorching air, and his grave will be constricted for him, until his ribs start to interlace.  And then there will be represented a man with an ugly face, repulsive clothes, and a repugnant smell, so he will say: ‘Woe to you, who are you?  So by Allaah your face seems to resemble evil.’  So he will say: O lord, do not establish the Hour! [O Lord,] do not establish the Hour!”

Whoever asks with the Name of Allaah, is not to be rejected....

Whoever asks with the Name of Allah, is not to be rejected...

From: Kitab at Tawheed
By: Sheikh ul Islam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab
Dar us Salam Publication

Ibn Umar [radilallahuanhu] Narrated that Allah's Messenger [sallahu wa alyhe wa sallam] said:

" If anyone makes a request in Allah's Name, give him refuge; if anyone seeks refuge by Allah's Names, give him refuge; if any one give you an invitation, accept it; and if anyone does you a kindness, recompense him; But if you have not the means to do so, pray for him until you feel that you have compensated him."
(Abu Dawud and An-Nasa mention this hadith ang graded it sahih)

1) Grant protection to those who seek protection with the Name of Allah.
2) Give if one asks with the Name of Allah.
3) Acceptance of the invitation.
4) Return kindness that has been done to you.
5) If one has no means to repay kindness then supplication for him is a compensation.
6) His [sallahu wa alyhe wa sallam] statement: " Until you feel that you have compensated him."
The Speech of Allaah to His Servants on the Day of Resurrection

From: Bahjah Quloob al-Abrar
Imam Abdur-Rahman ibn Nasir as-Sa'di (Rahimahullah)

'Adi ibn Hatim (Radiallahu 'Anhu) said: Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
"There is no one from you except that His Lord will speak with him, with no interpreter between them. Then he will look to his right and will see nothing except what he has put forth (of deeds) and he will look to his left and will see nothing except what he has put forth. He will look in front of him and see nothing except the Fire in front of his face. So fear the Fire even with half of a date. Whoever does not even find that, then with a kind word." (1)
This is an amazing Hadith that contains the greatness of the Creator - a greatness that even the intellects cannot perceive, nor are the tongues able to express.
He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) informed within it that everyone of creation will be spoken to directly by Allah with no interpreter or intermediary. He will ask them about all of their deeds, the good of them and the evil, the small of them and the great, the past and present, those deeds the servant knows of and those which he has forgotten. That is due to His Greatness and Honor. Just as He created them and provided for them in one instant, He will resurrect them in one instant, and He will certainly bring all of them to account in one instant. So blessed is the one to whom belongs the greatness, honor, the great dominion and glory.
In this situation when He will bring them to account, there will be for the servant no helpers, nor assistants, no children, and no wealth. Rather, he will have come to Him individually, alone as He created him the first time. His deeds will have surrounded him on his right and left, waiting for recompense whether good or bad. In front of him will be the Fire from which there will be no escape. Will he have within him any way out? There is no way except by the mercy of Allah and by the deeds he has put forth which could save him from it.
For this, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) encouraged his nation to fear and protect themselves from the Fire even if it were with something insignificant such as half a date. If one cannot even find this, then even with a kind word.
Within this Hadith, there is evidence that from the greatest of things that save one from the Fire is doing good to the creation by one's wealth and statements. A servant must not belittle any act of goodness even if it were something insignificant. The kind word includes advising the creation by teaching them what they do not know, and guiding them to what can benefit them in the Dunya and the hereafter.
It includes speech that brings happiness to the hearts, comfort to the chests, and brings about cheerfulness.
It includes remembering Allah and praising Him, mentioning His rulings and legislations. So every speech that brings one closer to Allah and from which Allah's servants can benefit, then it is included under the kind word. Allah says:
"To Him ascends good speech and righteous work raises it." [Al-Fatir : 10]
And He says:
"And the lasting good deeds. . ." [Al-Kahf : 46]
And they are every action or statement that brings one closer to Allah or brings about some benefit to His creation.

"Are better with your Lord for reward and better for (one's) hope" [Al-Kahf : 46]

And Allah knows best.
